Terms and Conditions for Sangam Ayurveda Cooking Class

Thank you for your interest in Sangam Ayurveda’s cooking classes. By registering for and attending our classes, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before participating.

1. Registration and Payment

  • Registration: To participate in a cooking class, you must complete the registration process through our website and provide the required information. Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of payment.

  • Payment: All fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. We accept payment through our secure online payment processor. Payments are non-refundable, except as noted in our cancellation policy below.

2. Class Policies

  • Class Format: Classes may be conducted in person or online, depending on the format specified at registration. For online classes, participants are responsible for their own internet connection and devices.

  • Materials and Ingredients: For in-person classes, all materials and ingredients will be provided unless otherwise specified. For online classes, a list of required ingredients and tools will be provided in advance. Participants are responsible for obtaining their own ingredients and equipment.

  • Punctuality: Please arrive (or log in) at least 10 minutes before the class start time. Late arrivals may not be accommodated, and missed time will not be refunded.

3. Health and Safety

  • Allergies and Dietary Restrictions: Please inform us of any allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of registration. While we strive to accommodate special requests, we cannot guarantee that classes will be free from allergens.

  • Participant Responsibility: By attending a cooking class, participants assume responsibility for their own health and well-being. Please follow instructions carefully, use caution when handling knives, hot surfaces, or other potentially hazardous equipment, and follow any safety guidelines provided by the instructor.

  • Medical Disclaimer: Sangam Ayurveda’s cooking classes are for educational purposes only and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding any specific dietary needs or health concerns.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Cancellation by Participant: For monthly members, we offer one free make-up class within the 4-week subscription period if you notify us 48 hours before class. For quarterly members, we offer three free make-up classes within the 12-week subscription period if you notify us 48 hours before class. All members receive the recipes and cooking instructions along with the shopping list, so you never miss out on the learning. 

  • Cancellation by Sangam Ayurveda: Sangam Ayurveda reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a class due to low enrollment, instructor availability, or other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of cancellation, participants will be notified as soon as possible and offered a full refund or the option to attend a rescheduled class.

5. Liability Waiver

By registering for a cooking class, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Assumption of Risk: Cooking involves inherent risks, including but not limited to cuts, burns, food allergies, and reactions to ingredients. You voluntarily assume these risks and agree to release Sangam Ayurveda and its instructors from any liability arising from participation.

  • Waiver of Liability: Sangam Ayurveda, its employees, and instructors shall not be liable for any injury, illness, or damages resulting from participation in cooking classes, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. This waiver extends to any activities and guidance provided during the class.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, recipes, and instructional materials provided during the cooking class are the intellectual property of Sangam Ayurveda. Participants are granted a limited, personal license to use these materials for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Reproduction, distribution, or use of class materials for commercial purposes without express written permission from Sangam Ayurveda is prohibited.

7. Photography and Media Release

  • In-Class Photography: Participants may take photos of their dishes for personal use, but please refrain from photographing or recording the instructor or other participants without consent.

  • Media Release: Sangam Ayurveda may photograph or record classes for promotional purposes. By participating, you grant us permission to use images or video footage that may include you, unless you explicitly opt out in writing prior to the class.

8. Code of Conduct

We strive to create a welcoming and respectful environment for all participants. By attending a cooking class, you agree to:

  • Respect: Show respect for the instructor and fellow participants, including refraining from disruptive behavior, offensive language, or discrimination.

  • Participation: Follow instructions and engage positively in the class activities.

Sangam Ayurveda reserves the right to remove any participant who violates these standards without a refund.

9. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Sangam Ayurveda may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. Changes will be posted on our website, and continued participation in classes following updates constitutes acceptance of any changes.
